Ali Mohammed Al-Sharfa Al-Hammadi writes… The Path from Darkness to Light
In an age overwhelmed by oppression and tyranny, the light of faith remains the path to deliverance from ignorance and corruption. Faith is not merely a set of rituals, but a way of life founded on justice and mercy. It purifies hearts and transforms societies into compassionate and cooperative communities.
As Allah says:
“Allah is the Protector of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:257 )
Through this divine light, justice is established, human dignity is preserved, and civilization is built upon mercy and goodness.
Yet today, humanity has turned away from God’s guidance, allowing injustice to replace fairness and self-interest to dominate over divine law. Allah warned against such deviation:
“And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the wrongdoers.”
(Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:45)
Over time, political conflicts turned into bloody struggles, as in the wars of apostasy, despite the Qur’an never commanding the killing of those who refuse zakat or leave the faith. Islam clearly declares:
“There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:256)
The Muslim nation became divided because it abandoned the Qur’an, replacing divine revelation with traditions and sectarian rivalries. Its unity and strength will not return until it restores the Qur’an as the first source of guidance and law, for it is the light that leads to peace.
“There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book. By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace.”
(Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:15–16)
Holding firmly to the Qur’an is the true path to renewal, justice, and salvation — the way from darkness to light.
